After five years of self-imposed exile, Jil Sander, mistress of minimalism, is back in fashion's front-line, surveying one of the best, most democratic collections she believes she has ever designed in some 40 years.

It is beautiful in its stunning, considered simplicity; like her own collections were, back in the days when high-earning female executives lusted after her label, even when it cost in excess of £2,000 for a boardroom trouser suit.

More importantly, this new collection is affordable, from £14.99 to a top price of £279.99, and will sell in the millions. The collection is +J, her third season and most comprehensive for the multi-billion dollar Japanese clothing giant, Uniqlo, with, at latest count, 944 stores worldwide.

La Grande Bouffe.

Vogue Paris celebrate their 90 ans d'excès with this October's issue: Lara Stone naturally fronts the cover and Terry Richardson contributed with a gluttony-fuelled jewellery story snapping Crystal Renn. Styling by Carine Roitfeld, sweaters by Prada. Ha!

The Super Show.

"Here for full viewing pleasure is the film of THE SUPER SHOW, a catwalk extravaganza of forty looks staged earlier this year in a secret location to an audience of zero. The show was created from the best of the Autumn/Winter 2010 collections and is a real study in masculinity. It focuses on clashing together different forms of menswear, from formal to utility, to create a whole new language in men’s dressing. The looks can already been seen in the latest issue of Fantastic Man, and are brought to life here in moving pictures."

Bring Back The Hats!

The hats at Albino show were tremendous. It's such a shame folks don't wear hats anymore!

Big In Japan.

CHRISTOPHER KANE
Spring Summer 2011

British twinset classics gets a hardcore fluoro façade with the range of neony colors and the whole syntetic look and slowly tranforms into the ultimate suit of modern yakuza girls. Insanely good!

The Portrait Of A Lady.

PROENZA SCHOULER
by Lazaro Hernandez & Jack McCollough
Spring Summer 2011

Without the doubt the most enchanting show in New York. This beautiful blend of modern, classic and retro was a top interpretation of a lady with all the electrifying colors and inventive fabrics.

Fantastic Clément.

The unstoppable monsieur Chabernaud makes appearance in the F/W issue of Fantastic Man magazine, photographed by Willy Vanderperre (of course) and styled by Olivier Rizzo (naturally). Instantly iconic.

Pretty Bad Cool Good Girls.

After weeks of shameful neglect I am back with some goodies. We are pretty much halfway through the fashion weeks and still, it seems, nothing much exciting has been seen so far. Here are shows I particularly liked.
